Grade 11: Spanish foundations
Start with a unit whose prerequisites fit. Work through the lessons, use the study guide to review, and try the new cases before continuing.
- Unit 1 · 4 lessons
Describe Routines and Basic Plans
Routine descriptions combine frequency, who performs an action, and whether it is habitual, planned or required. All schedules and preferences here are supplied fictional records rather than a request to report a real daily life.
Before you begin: Match present subjects/forms; use infinitives after a finite verb.
- Unit 2 · 4 lessons
Read Locations and Supplied Directions
Location phrases and route instructions connect language with a fictional paper plan. The goal is to preserve spatial relationships and order, using the glosses supplied here; no real-world navigation or outdoor activity is required.
Before you begin: Use estar for location and read simple left/right distinctions on a paper drawing.
- Unit 3 · 4 lessons
Read Original Notices and Short Messages
A short notice or message is useful when the reader can identify its action, time, place and conditions without inventing extra details. These original supplied records give all facts needed, with glosses for the less familiar vocabulary.
Before you begin: Read common calendar labels, simple present verbs and basic question words.
- Unit 4 · 4 lessons
Describe Supplied Completed Past Events
The preterite presents a supplied past event as bounded or completed in the narrative. Forms depend on conjugation class and subject; time words help interpret the story but do not mechanically force one tense in every context.
Before you begin: Use present subject labels, infinitive stems and basic event sequence words.
Check what you can explain
The subject test uses additional supplied cases across these units. Its feedback links back to the relevant lessons. Use it to plan practice; a score on these questions is not a school grade or proof of complete subject mastery.
