Understand the trade.
Question the chart.
Try fictional stock orders, read a price chart and test a pattern against opposite outcomes. Every price here is supplied practice data, not a current quote.
Try a fictional buy order
Snapshot: best bid $20.00; best ask $20.10. The spread is $0.10. The table supplies all available sellers in this fixed example. No order reaches a broker.
| Ask price (USD) | Shares available |
|---|---|
| $20.10 | 3 |
| $20.20 | 4 |
| $20.40 | 10 |
Model: best-price sellers first, fixed offers, a $1 fee only if shares fill, no borrowing, and no later fills for the unfilled portion. Insufficient cash rejects this model's order. Real quotes change; execution, fees, time-in-force and broker policies differ. A limit price does not guarantee a fill. Refreshing resets this page; no portfolio is stored.
Build literacy before risking money
This is educational paper practice, not personalized investment advice or a trading signal. Trading can lose money. Chart patterns cannot guarantee returns. This lab has no account, brokerage connection, real orders, short selling, leverage or real-time market feed.
The course supplies quote tables, order cases, open/high/low/close data and a paper trade journal. A justified decision not to trade completes the project just as well as a supported simulation.
