Grade 2: Computing

Start with a unit whose prerequisites fit. Work through the lessons, use the study guide to review, and try the new cases before continuing.

  1. Unit 1 · 4 lessons

Connect Devices and Explain Their Reach

Draw a tablet linked to a local printer but no remote connection. Classify printing a stored drawing and opening a new remote message; state what extra information would resolve an unknown file location.

Before you begin: Identify device roles and follow a labeled map.

  2. Unit 2 · 4 lessons

    Repeat, Repair and Decode Patterns

Expand repeat groups, check their scope and translate ordered symbol messages.

Before you begin: Count and number up to twelve; follow a short ordered sequence.

  3. Unit 3 · 4 lessons

    Read Small Data Tables Carefully

Build a pretend table with item codes 01,02,03 and counts 4,0,?. Explain which fields can be added and what the unknown prevents you from knowing.

Before you begin: Read a short label and count up to ten.

  4. Unit 4 · 4 lessons

Make Safe Sharing and Design Decisions

A fictional drawing is allowed only in a group, is stored only on the main device, and has sound-only instructions. Propose one permission-respecting recovery step and one access improvement.

Before you begin: Distinguish recorded facts from unknown information.
