Grade 1: Computing

Start with a unit whose prerequisites fit. Work through the lessons, use the study guide to review, and try the new cases before continuing.

  1. Unit 1 · 4 lessons

    Hardware and Programs Work Together

Use the pretend record: a drawing is saved, a music edit is unsaved, and the app sound is muted. Name the hardware/software distinction, what remains after shutdown and one safe sound check.

Before you begin: Identify common computing tools and follow a supplied checklist.

  2. Unit 2 · 4 lessons

    Repair and Test Paper Rules

Improve drawing instructions, sort by a stated property and track inputs and outputs.

Before you begin: Follow three instructions in order; count up to six; identify circle, square and triangle.

  3. Unit 3 · 4 lessons

    Find and Organize Pretend Files

Draw Art/Drawing/leaf and Art/Photos/leaf. Copy the drawing into Share, keeping its source. Explain why both path and content note matter.

Before you begin: Read short labels with support and follow a two-step path.

  4. Unit 4 · 4 lessons

    Design Clear and Kind Controls

Improve a pretend player with an unlabeled triangle, sound-only directions and a colored save dot. Supply three changes linked to those barriers.

Before you begin: Match a label to a task and compare two short descriptions.

Check what you can explain
