Unit review questions
1. Menu icon goes back to choices. Which label describes the required action?
Need a hint?
  • Choose the stated action label that resolves the supplied icon’s ambiguity.
  • A decorative picture does not automatically tell a learner what will happen.
2. The save operation has not completed yet. Which status message matches?
Need a hint?
  • Read the event record and choose a message that states its result.
  • A green dot alone does not tell every learner what has been saved or completed.
3. The printed steps are "draw a line, mark its middle, write M there." Which alternative provides the same complete directions through sound?
Need a hint?
  • Use the explicit input, condition and question aspect.
  • Reject a choice that adds an unsupported condition or answers a different question.
4. A status is communicated only by red versus green. Which improvement addresses the observation?
Need a hint?
  • Describe the observed interface problem and suggest a change linked to that problem.
  • Insults and guesses about a maker do not explain how the design could improve.

Use the skills in a new task

Improve a pretend player with an unlabeled triangle, sound-only directions and a colored save dot. Supply three changes linked to those barriers.

Work on paper or in your own document. Explain the choices you made.

  • Use the pretend details in the task and name the rule you followed.
  • Show the steps or point to the detail that helped you choose.
  • Say one mistake to avoid or one thing this example cannot tell us.
  • Check your answer against the task. Change a part if you can show why it needs fixing.
Compare with a model response

Label the triangle Read story aloud, provide the same directions in text and replace the dot-only status with Drawing saved or Saving not finished as appropriate. Each change communicates the actual action or event.

A different response can also meet the criteria. Compare the evidence and reasoning, rather than copying the wording.
