Translate partner interest into a bounded pilot purpose
See this course’s project requirements
An original fictional partner-pilot readiness packet with purpose and roles, learner-access/privacy questions, delivery schedule, evidence definitions, staged launch gates and a review/exit agreement.
Keep your working files in your own notebook or software. Save a private description, checklist, and work link in My Proof.
What to include
- Define the fictional purpose, controlled outputs and excluded promises.
- Assign operational and authorized decision owners plus escalation routes.
- Separate practical access, permission and minimal-data questions.
- Show capacity/time calculations and evidence-linked launch/hold gates.
- Include proposed review/exit terms and an accurate unsent handoff.
Review and revise
Use these criteria to check your work and choose what to improve.
- The two-organization scope and owners are specific and consistent.
- Data collection and access claims match the stated purpose and actual evidence.
- Staffing/time units reconcile and changed enrollment is handled honestly.
- Draft, unresolved, completed and reviewed stages are labeled accurately.

The idea in everyday life
Fictional Alder School and Juniper Employer are considering four 45-minute practice sessions for 12 learners. Each session has 35 minutes of activity and 10 minutes of feedback. The supplied staffing rule is at most six learners per facilitator. Two facilitators are available. Each needs 10 setup minutes before each session. School lead S owns learner access and institutional permission decisions; employer lead E owns staff availability and workplace examples; program lead P owns curriculum support and evidence definitions. All people and organizations are fictional. This is an unsent planning exercise, not an actual LifeStarter partnership or an executed agreement.
Interest is an invitation to define an experiment. A pilot purpose names who practices what, the delivery limits and the evidence that will inform the next decision.
Translate partner interest into a bounded pilot purpose — supplied practice

1. Write the practice purpose
Draft one sentence naming the 12 fictional learners, four sessions and a supplied workplace-planning task.
You should see: Twelve learners practice a workplace task over four sessions and produce a task record for rubric review.
The output can be inspected without promising jobs or credentials.
2. Separate hoped-for outcomes
List a useful task record as a pilot output and a future job as an external aspiration.
You should see: Task records are in scope; jobs, accredited awards and guaranteed improvement are not.
An organization cannot promise an outcome it does not control.
3. Define the review question
Write whether the host can deliver the sessions and obtain usable task evidence with the supplied support.
You should see: The question concerns feasible delivery and inspectable work, not proven causal effectiveness.
A small pilot can support an operational decision while leaving wider impact unknown.
4. Record scope and assumptions
Add the cohort cap, session count, local draft-only exercise and unresolved permission/data questions.
You should see: The brief names known capacity and open decisions before any launch.
A coherent purpose needs visible limits as well as ambition.
What to finish
A one-page pilot purpose, output definition and scope/exclusion list.
Watch for this
Turning a plausible benefit into a guaranteed employment or credential claim.
How can I tell I understand it?
Unresolved host decisions remain visible in the brief.
