Time includes reading, practice, and questions. Extra videos or further study are optional.
See this course’s project requirements

A fictional recurring service account plan with success criteria, dependency milestones, adoption evidence, scope-risk escalations and an honest renew/revise/end recommendation.

Keep your working files in your own notebook or software. Save a private description, checklist, and work link in My Proof.

What to include

  • Translate the fictional agreement into observable success and role boundaries.
  • Map setup/data/staff dependencies with actual owners and evidence.
  • Provide a checked first-use summary and explicit support-stage labels.
  • Reconcile raw files with three distinct useful weeks and the W3 gap.
  • Prepare an unsent voluntary renewal outline and conditional renew/revise/end recommendation.

Review and revise

Use these criteria to check your work and choose what to improve.

  • Useful use requires the specified checked work product, not access counts.
  • Dependencies and service/customer responsibilities remain distinct.
  • Adoption totals deduplicate weeks and preserve missing evidence.
  • The recommendation follows the supplied rule without pressure or invented acceptance.

The idea in everyday life

Fictional recurring service: Cedar Stock supports customer Elm Shop with a weekly stock-summary template for four weeks. The agreement supplies template setup, two staff practice sessions and support for four weekly summaries; Elm owns approved item data and its staff schedule. Useful-use evidence means a staff member independently completes a summary that reconciles to the supplied item list. A login, opened email or downloaded template is not enough. All account records are fictional, every required exercise is a paper/local-document draft, and no subscription or customer outreach is required. Setup can be drafted Day1. Elm data owner D must approve the item list before any actual summary practice. Staff A/B are available Day3; D’s approval is still pending Day2. Only fictional sample data may be used meanwhile.

The idea

A dependency map explains why one milestone cannot begin yet. Keep proposed actions separate from confirmed conditions instead of blaming a person or concealing the blocker.

Map customer and provider dependencies — supplied practice

A dependency map explains why one milestone cannot begin yet. Keep proposed actions separate from confirmed conditions instead of blaming a person or concealing the blocker.

  1. 1. Draw the prerequisite chain

Map template draft→approved item list→staff practice→independent checked summary.

You should see: Approval precedes actual customer-data practice.

A prepared template alone does not clear the data gate.

  2. 2. Assign each owner

Assign template to Cedar lead C, data approval to D and staff availability to Elm supervisor S.

You should see: C, D and S have distinct confirmed responsibilities.

One owner cannot silently confirm another’s prerequisite.

  3. 3. Record the current blocker

Mark D approval pending while retaining the confirmed Day3 staff window.

You should see: The blocker is approved input data, not proof that staff declined.

A factual status names the missing condition without inventing motives.

  4. 4. Plan a bounded fallback

Use the supplied fictional sample for orientation only; keep actual useful-use milestone pending until approval.

You should see: Practice can proceed on fiction without being counted as actual customer adoption.

A fallback should preserve the boundary and its evidence label.

Now change one thing

D now records approval of the item list. How many data-approval gates remain pending in this scenario?

Your work

What to finish

A dependency/owner/status map and a labeled fictional-data fallback.

Common mistake

Watch for this

Marking approval complete because the provider already drafted a template.

How can I tell I understand it?

Fictional orientation is not misreported as actual customer use.
