Choose the quietest practical area, listen for fan, traffic, electrical, reflection, and vibration problems, and reduce them safely.

Map only the gear needed from source to microphone or instrument, interface, computer, software, and headphones or monitors.

Place speakers evenly on either side when possible and reduce noise from vibrating objects. Listen at a moderate level and take regular breaks.

Create a rights sheet for songwriters, performers, beat or sample licenses, artwork, and session ownership before release work begins.
