Grade 12: Arts & music

Start with a unit whose prerequisites fit. Work through the lessons, use the study guide to review, and try the new cases before continuing.

  1. Unit 1 · 4 lessons

Capstone Proposals, Portfolio Claims, Credits, and Feasibility

Prepare an original capstone that is feasible and honestly documented. Reconcile limits with required evidence, distinguish artifact work from unobserved performance, retain provenance and reserve time for a specific criterion-based revision.

Before you begin: Plan and revise original artifacts; interpret a time budget and evidence scope.

  2. Unit 2 · 4 lessons

Composition Audits, Contextual Tones, Production Cues, and Evaluation

Bring structural reasoning and honest evaluation together. Audit a phrase against several constraints, interpret a nonchord tone from its supplied context, correct audiovisual cue offsets and design evidence suitable for a performance claim.

Before you begin: Analyze supplied pitch and duration patterns; distinguish score properties from actual execution.

Check what you can explain

The subject test uses additional supplied cases across these units. Its feedback links back to the relevant lessons. Use it to plan practice; a score on these questions is not a school grade or proof of complete subject mastery.
