Review: Our Pretend Shared Room

Use turns, reasons, helper roles, and a plan to describe a shared room.

Bring the unit skills together

Use these 4 new cases to check your reasoning. Choices are temporary and are not saved to an account, sent to staff or recorded as school grades. Download your current review choices before leaving or reloading.

Unit review questions
1. Original pretend rule: Uma draws one star, then Eli draws one star. Uma finished. Who gets the pencil next?
2. Pretend rule: put each puzzle piece in its box after use. Which reason explains the rule?
3. In a new puppet group, Len counts turns and Sol returns books to a shelf. A book needs returning. Who has that stated job?
4. New plan: left B=book shelf, middle M=mat, right P=paint table. What is in the middle?

The download contains your current choices and any checked feedback. Keep the separate transfer-task work in your own document; downloading its instructions does not mark it complete.

Use the skills in a new task

Original pretend group: Kim and Pax share one stamp, taking one stamp mark each; Kim goes first. Zee puts stamps in a tray after use. Room plan: left R=reading mat, middle T=stamp tray, right A=art table. Kim finishes one mark. Say who stamps next, who returns the stamp, why the tray helps, and where the tray is.

Work on paper or in your own document. Explain the choices you made.

  • Name the next turn from the rule.
  • Match the return task to the stated helper.
  • Give a reason for returning the shared stamp.
  • Locate the tray using the plan and key.
Compare with a model response

Pax stamps next because Kim has finished the agreed one mark. Zee returns the stamp because that is Zee’s job. The tray helps the next learner find it. T means stamp tray, and it is in the middle between the reading mat and art table.

A different response can also meet the criteria. Compare the evidence and reasoning, rather than copying the wording.
