Grade 12 · unit review

Review: Health navigation and informed questions

Prepare general-care questions, evaluate claims and preserve privacy/access without personal treatment.

Bring the unit skills together

Use these 4 new cases to check your reasoning. Choices are temporary and are not saved to an account, sent to staff or recorded as school grades. Download your current review choices before leaving or reloading.

Unit review questions
1. Prepare questions for a qualified conversation: A page uses jargon that the reader cannot explain. What fits?
Need a hint?
  • Prepare what to ask; do not create a diagnosis or dose.
  • Ask for plain language and next-step clarification, not only more jargon.
2. Evaluate a general decision aid: A source comparison is balanced but the user asks it to diagnose them. What fits?
Need a hint?
  • Population and review date affect how evidence can be used.
  • A structured aid still cannot establish personal medical suitability alone.
3. Map privacy through a support portal: The task needs no real record but a form asks for one. What fits?
Need a hint?
  • A public/exported link can change who sees information.
  • A paper flow map does not verify real security or legal compliance.
4. Compare a fictional access cost without promising funding: Fictional case 5: baseDollars=25, travelDollars=10, subsidyDollars=20. What is the modeled result using the stated method?
Need a hint?
  • Subtract only the subsidy explicitly confirmed in the fictional model.
  • Lower cost does not prove availability, quality, suitability or actual funding.

Use the skills in a new task

Review a fictional aid with no review date, a portal demanding a full history for a general question, and session costs$20+$6 with a supplied$10 subsidy.

Work on paper or in your own document. Explain the choices you made.

  • Use the supplied facts without personal disclosures.
  • Apply at least two methods from this unit.
  • Show the sequence, calculation or evidence behind the decision.
  • Include a relevant boundary, help step or accessible alternative.
Compare with a model response

Request population/date and evidence details before relying on the aid. Withhold unnecessary sensitive data and check provider/access practices. The fictional net cost is 20+6−10=$16, but capacity, suitability and actual funding are not established. Prepare questions rather than prescribing care.

A different response can also meet the criteria. Compare the evidence and reasoning, rather than copying the wording.
