Review: Design and Test a Purpose-Limited Log
Minimize collected fields, aggregate fictional events, test deletion and examine release risks.
Bring the unit skills together
Use these 4 new cases to check your reasoning. Choices are temporary and are not saved to an account, sent to staff or recorded as school grades. Download your current review choices before leaving or reloading.
The download contains your current choices and any checked feedback. Keep the separate transfer-task work in your own document; downloading its instructions does not mark it complete.
Use the skills in a new task
For a fictional offline practice system, the purpose is internal failure counts by day and activity. Events: (D8,Q,fail), (D8,Q,pass), (D8,Q,fail), (D9,R,fail). Design fields and aggregates, apply the exercise deletion rule age ≥ 7 at current day 15, and assess a proposed release of Q where n = 4 and approved = true under the exercise n ≥ 5 AND approved policy.
Work on paper or in your own document. Explain the choices you made.
- Collect only the purpose-relevant day, activity and outcome, then retain aggregates; avoid identities and answer text.
- Aggregate D8 Q = 2 and D9 R = 1.
- At current day 15 delete D8 rows aged 7 and keep D9 rows aged 6.
- Withhold proposed Q release because n = 4; restrict internal access and review related releases rather than claiming anonymity.
Compare with a model response
Needed input fields: day, activity, outcome. Aggregate failures: (D8,Q,2), (D9,R,1); ignore the pass and omit names, contact details and answers. Use restricted internal access. At day 15, D8 age 7 is deleted and D9 age 6 is kept under the supplied practice schedule. A proposed Q release with n=4 is withheld even with approval. The exercise threshold is not an anonymity guarantee; related totals or repeated releases can disclose withheld information and require review.
A different response can also meet the criteria. Compare the evidence and reasoning, rather than copying the wording.
