Unit review questions
1. Calculate a model turning effect: Fictional case 5: forceNewtons=20, perpendicularMeters=0.1. What is the modeled result using the stated method?
Need a hint?
  • Use the lever distance perpendicular to force, not any diagram length.
  • A torque calculation does not prescribe exercise load or diagnose a joint.
2. Compare a fixed-force lever change: Fictional case 5: newMeters=0.5, oldMeters=0.25. What is the modeled result using the stated method?
Need a hint?
  • The cancellation is valid only when the force is unchanged.
  • A multiplicative comparison is different from an additive unit difference.
3. Design a fair paper-model comparison: A claimed direction effect also includes a wider target. What fits?
Need a hint?
  • Two simultaneous changes prevent attribution to one alone.
  • An imagined dataset is not a measurement or demonstrated outcome.
4. Distinguish mechanical knowledge from physical competence: A fictional match table is used to certify athletic performance. What fits?
Need a hint?
  • Use concept evidence for concept claims, not bodily mastery.
  • No quiz or fictional dataset confers professional or clinical certification.

Use the skills in a new task

A paper lever changes 0.2 m to 0.4 m under 10 N; another paper target comparison changes direction and size together. Report the mechanical result and evidence limits.

Work on paper or in your own document. Explain the choices you made.

  • Use the supplied facts without personal disclosures.
  • Apply at least two methods from this unit.
  • Show the sequence, calculation or evidence behind the decision.
  • Include a relevant boundary, help step or accessible alternative.
Compare with a model response

Torque changes from 10*0.2=2 to 10*0.4=4 newton-meters, a ratio of 2 under fixed force. The target comparison is confounded because two variables change. Neither paper result establishes physical technique, clinical outcome or certification.

A different response can also meet the criteria. Compare the evidence and reasoning, rather than copying the wording.
