Course sources & quality

Show the work.
Check the sources.

304 practical courses. 1815 lessons. Clear instructions, worked examples, and projects that turn learning into something useful.

Original lessons. Sources you can explore.

The Life Starter creates its own instructions, practice examples, projects, and questions. References from government agencies, universities, open education publishers, and standards organizations help explain the concepts and point you toward further study.

Each course brings its learning goal, preparation, lessons, project, and references together. Source notes explain access and reuse. All required Life Starter practice is free.

Learn it. Practice it. Make it useful.

Worked examples show a process in action. Short knowledge checks give you feedback and record lesson completion when you pass. Use the project checklist to put the skill to use; project submissions and reviews are recorded separately.

1497 lessons include applied questions involving calculations, classifications, evidence, or practical decisions. The other 318 use reading checks to reinforce the lesson. Every lesson includes a task to complete or practice.

The eight-week program connects these skills through weekly projects, starting and final checks, and follow-up reflections. Explore how your progress is recorded.

How we check and improve the courses

Shared project checklists and practice definitions keep the lesson, example, and downloadable materials connected.

Choose a task that fits your time.

Study estimates cover reading, the supplied practice, knowledge checks and assembling lesson records. They are planning estimates, not measured completion times or timers. A focused everyday task can take around 30 minutes; learning new software or producing a larger project needs more time.

Courses flag additional required project commitments, such as repeated practice over several weeks or producing and reviewing finished work. Those requirements still apply. Setup, optional fieldwork and extra practice can also add time. You can pause between lessons and return without rushing through the work.

Keep the work behind your progress.

My Proof brings your project description, work link, practice method, checklist, and self-review into one private record. Keep your original files in the tools you prefer and update your record as your work develops.

Help make the next lesson clearer.

Every lesson includes Report a problem with this lesson. Flag an unclear instruction, an answer that needs review, a broken resource, or a technical issue. The report includes the lesson and content version so we can find the right material.

Keep reports focused on the lesson and leave out personal or confidential information. Learner feedback helps us choose what to improve next.

How materials are made and what checks establish

AI tools assist with drafting and implementation. Primary references, worked examples, assessments and technical checks support the published materials. These checks verify specified content and software behavior; they do not establish learner effectiveness. Knowledge checks are curriculum-based, and the curriculum has not yet undergone a controlled learning-outcomes study.

Public host practice and observation materials are proposed, unvalidated methods. Local adaptations, accessibility arrangements and actual learner evidence need host review.
