Use the playlist's demonstrations as a setup reference, then film one submaximal set from a comparable angle for an honest form check.
Before you begin

What this lesson is really solving.

Warm up by rehearsing the session, set equipment carefully, use consistent cues, and stop sets when form or speed meaningfully degrades. Record selected reps for review; do not turn every session into a maximal effort.

Why this works

Understand the idea before touching the steps.

Technique is a repeatable solution for the current body, load, range, and goal.

Do this

Follow these steps in order.

Take the action in each step; then use the deliverable below to prove the lesson is finished.

  1. 1

Use a consistent setup checklist and complete warm-up sets that rehearse the exact movement.

  2. 2

Control the range you own, keep the intended joints and muscles doing the work, and avoid momentum that hides failure.

  3. 3

Brace and breathe appropriately without holding breath longer than needed; stop for sharp, unusual, or escalating pain.

  4. 4

End the set when speed, range, balance, or position changes beyond the day’s standard.

Worked example

See the standard in context.

Before squats, Casey walks five minutes, practices unloaded hinges and bench squats, then completes working sets. The last rep remains smooth but clearly slower, so the set ends. One side-view clip shows the bench is too low and the next set uses a higher target.

Quality check

Inspect before you move on.

  • Warm-up progresses toward the actual exercises.
  • Breathing remains controlled and the environment allows a safe exit.
  • Technique is reviewed against one or two observable cues, not a dozen thoughts at once.
Make it real

Your deliverable

A written technique checklist and side-view recording for each main movement.

Common mistake

Watch for this

Continuing a set to prove toughness after the movement pattern has visibly broken down.

You’re ready when

Prove it—don’t just recognize it.

Your final accepted repetition meets the same range and control standard as the first.
