Before you begin

The idea in everyday life

Start with relevance and proximity: former colleagues, professional communities, local organizations, platform opportunities, and targeted outbound. Personalize around a real business signal and ask for a small next step. Volume cannot rescue a message sent to the wrong buyer.

The idea

Good outreach is a small piece of relevant diagnosis delivered to the right person.

Try it

One step at a time.

Use the sample or information you have permission to use. Keep your work as you go. You can pause between steps.

  1. 1

Build a list of 50 prospects that match clear qualification rules.

  2. 2

Find a specific trigger or observable problem for each prospect rather than mass-personalizing the first name.

  3. 3

Write a short message explaining what you noticed, why it may matter, one useful idea, and evidence you can help. End with an easy-to-answer question.

  4. 4

Follow up two or three times with new value and track replies, calls, and reasons for no-fit.

Example

See how it works.

Luis qualifies 50 companies that published a webinar in the last 60 days. His 10-day sprint targets five new prospects per day: 50 ÷ 10 = 5. Each note references the actual event, points to one clip opportunity, and asks whether repurposing is a current priority. He schedules two follow-ups and logs replies and objections.

Check your work

Did you cover these?

  • The qualified list contains 50 prospects and a reason each account fits now.
  • The message is honest about the relationship and sample.
  • The pipeline records next action, date, and outcome.
Your work

What to finish

A qualified 50-prospect list and a 10-day outreach sprint with daily targets.

Common mistake

Watch for this

Sending generic volume to poor-fit contacts and damaging your reputation before you learn.

How can I tell I understand it?

You can explain why every person on the list is likely to need the exact service.
