Complete your healthcare exploration plan
See this course’s project requirements
Collect and revise all six lesson outputs into a healthcare career-exploration file. Include role comparisons, nonclinical communication scripts, privacy decisions, who to contact about concerns, and a training comparison. Label it as fictional practice that does not involve clinical care.
Keep your working files in your own notebook or software. Save a private description, checklist, and work link in My Proof.
What to include
- Include a healthcare role map with administrative and clinical boundaries.
- Provide an accessible arrival script and understanding check.
- Show a fictional access matrix and careful disclosure decision.
- Include a factual concern notification with a backup route.
- Compare training destinations, costs and unknowns, then add a realistic next learning plan.
Review and revise
Use these criteria to check your work and choose what to improve.
- Accuracy: amounts, classifications and decisions agree with the supplied evidence and stated assumptions.
- Reasoning: each important choice names the rule, observation or comparison that supports it.
- Responsible scope: the packet protects information, respects authority limits and routes unresolved concerns appropriately.
- Usability: a new reader can follow the ordered lesson outputs, identify ownership and see what is complete or still uncertain.

The idea in everyday life
Career exploration becomes more useful when it includes evidence of how you approached real occupational questions. Your packet can show role distinctions, respectful communication and careful handling of uncertainty. It should also be clear about its limits. A learner of any age can demonstrate these habits through fictional work without claiming patient experience, credentials or access to clinical settings.
A strong exploration packet shows what you understand and what you still need to verify.
One step at a time.
Use the sample or information you have permission to use. Keep your work as you go. You can pause between steps.
- 1
Order the five lesson outputs into a packet and label the organization, people and training offers as fictional. Add a short introduction naming the role you are exploring and why its tasks interest you.
- 2
Review every script for a clinical judgment, unnecessary personal information or unsupported claim of authority. Replace any such statement with the appropriate qualified handoff or verification question.
- 3
Use the training comparison to select one provisional next learning step and one backup. Choose actions possible with the supplied materials, such as another scenario or source review, without mandatory outreach.
- 4
Write a two-week practice plan with two sessions, a specific output and a review question. State what completion demonstrates and what clinical preparation or external verification would still be required.
See how it works.
Fictional practice: Jordan chooses clinic administration as the next area to explore because the role map and arrival-script exercise were appealing. The packet contains the Cedar role map, arrival script, permission matrix, concern handoff and program comparison. Jordan notes a strength in clear directions and a need to practice handling conflicting appointments. The next two-week step is to complete two more fictional scheduling cases and read a verified occupation page. Program A remains a possible route, with entry requirements and actual outcomes to verify later. The cover says “original fictional career-exploration work sample,” with no patient hours or certification claim.
Did you cover these?
- Every work sample is labeled fictional and nonclinical.
- The next step connects to a gap identified in earlier lessons.
- The scope statement excludes licensing, placement and clinical competence claims.
