Build a matching checklist
See this course’s project requirements
A versioned equipment-loan procedure, matching checklist, and walkthrough test log that a beginner can follow.
Keep your working files in your own notebook or software. Save a private description, checklist, and work link in My Proof.
What to include
- A one-paragraph scope with reader, trigger, allowed endings, and evidence.
- A five-step normal-path procedure and sample confirmation.
- A three-row exception table with return points and owners.
- A five-item checklist with evidence fields and a recorded correction.
- A two-case test log with one defect, an edit, and retest evidence.
- A versioned final procedure packet with change and review records.
Review and revise
Use these criteria to check your work and choose what to improve.
- Every required section is present and traceable to the supplied case facts.
- Decisions separate known facts, assumptions, and unresolved questions.
- Records, calculations, and instructions agree with each other and the stated rules.
- The final revision addresses a changed case and explains what someone should do next.

The idea in everyday life
Fictional date-counting rule: duration equals return date minus pickup date, using elapsed calendar days. June 3 to June 8 is 5 days; June 3 to June 10 is 7 days and passes the duration limit; June 3 to June 11 is 8 days and goes to Lee. Normal procedure: check four fields; check maximum 3 stands and 7 days; check full-period stock; enter reservation ID; send matching confirmation. R7 has all fields, quantity 2 and five-day span. Availability is 2. Jo created N42, but the confirmation draft says N24. Checklist must include the five checks and a place to record the reservation ID.
A checklist records whether critical checks happened; the SOP explains how.
Build a matching checklist — guided practice
Create a short completion record without replacing the full procedure.
Fictional date-counting rule: duration equals return date minus pickup date, using elapsed calendar days. June 3 to June 8 is 5 days; June 3 to June 10 is 7 days and passes the duration limit; June 3 to June 11 is 8 days and goes to Lee. Use a text editor, a free document editor, or paper. Start from the following fictional records; they reset this lesson even if your earlier answer differed.
1. Extract critical checks
Turn the five procedure stages into yes/no or pending items.
You should see: Fields, limits, availability, reservation entry, confirmation match.
The list follows the work order and covers each commitment point.
2. Add evidence fields
Add request ID and reservation ID beside the checklist.
You should see: R7 and N42 are visible in the record.
Evidence fields let someone retrieve and verify the completed work.
3. Use the checklist on R7
Check the draft confirmation against the log before release.
You should see: First four checks pass; confirmation-match check fails.
A check should detect an error rather than merely record confidence.
4. Repair and recheck
Change N24 to N42 and record the successful comparison.
You should see: All five checks pass; the sent-message record matches N42.
Correction becomes complete only after verifying the repaired value.
What to finish
A five-item checklist with evidence fields and a recorded correction.
