Complete your trades and green-career plan

About 28 minutes · 6 reading + 22 practice and checks
Time includes reading, practice, and questions. Extra videos or further study are optional.
See this course’s project requirements

Collect and revise all six lesson outputs into a trades and green-career exploration plan. Include task comparisons, energy and quantity calculations, safety boundaries, and a learning plan with questions to verify. Label the plan as fictional practice.

Keep your working files in your own notebook or software. Save a private description, checklist, and work link in My Proof.

What to include

  • Map three occupations and at least two task interfaces.
  • Include the energy-flow and reduction calculations with assumptions.
  • Provide the paper work-order quantity check and missing-specification questions.
  • Show occupation-specific stop-and-refer boundaries.
  • Compare learning routes and assemble a safe next exploration plan.

Review and revise

Use these criteria to check your work and choose what to improve.

  • Accuracy: amounts, classifications and decisions agree with the supplied evidence and stated assumptions.
  • Reasoning: each important choice names the rule, observation or comparison that supports it.
  • Responsible scope: the packet protects information, respects authority limits and routes unresolved concerns appropriately.
  • Usability: a new reader can follow the ordered lesson outputs, identify ownership and see what is complete or still uncertain.

Before you begin

The idea in everyday life

A useful exploration result does not require choosing one occupation forever. It should show what you learned about tasks, what interested you and which requirements need verification. Your paper calculations and safety boundaries are evidence of introductory reasoning. They are not a substitute for supervised practical assessment, licensing or an employer’s task-specific authorization.

The idea

Choose the next question to test, not a qualification to claim.

Try it

One step at a time.

Use the sample or information you have permission to use. Keep your work as you go. You can pause between steps.

  1. 1

Assemble the five lesson outputs and label all Elm data and route offers fictional. Create a front-page comparison of the two occupations you currently want to explore further.

  2. 2

Review the energy and dimension calculations for correct units and assumptions. Identify one reasoning strength and one skill to practice next using only desk-based activities.

  3. 3

Carry every safety boundary and unresolved route question into the final plan. Remove wording that implies equipment competence, certification, apprenticeship admission or a guaranteed employment outcome.

  4. 4

Set two short practice sessions over the next fortnight, each with a concrete output and a review question. Provide a backup reading or paper task so the plan remains usable without outreach, equipment or paid access.

Example

See how it works.

Fictional practice: Alex enjoyed the energy-flow comparison and the dimension check but is unsure about outdoor working conditions. Alex’s packet combines the occupation map, energy calculations, paper work order, safety boundary card and route comparison. The next two-week experiment is to compare the solar and electrician work-environment descriptions, then complete another paper quantity task and write three questions about supervised entry routes. Route A is a possible low-commitment learning option; B and C remain unverified. The final statement says Alex practiced career research and paper-based reasoning, not solar installation or electrical maintenance.

Check your work

Did you cover these?

  • The packet reuses all five earlier outputs.
  • The next experiment addresses a stated uncertainty about work or learning.
  • The scope statement excludes practical qualification and employment guarantees.
Your work

What to finish

A trades and green-career exploration packet with a safe two-week learning experiment.

Common mistake

Watch for this

Turning career interest or paper practice into a claim of installation competence.

How can I tell I understand it?

You can demonstrate all three checks and explain the evidence behind your choices without consulting the worked example.

1A learner calculated quantities for a paper display. Which claim is accurate?
2A learner is uncertain about travel between job sites. Which next step is useful and safe?
3The final plan promises a license after the four-week exploration workshop. What correction is needed?
